Eating in School

The children are encouraged to eat healthily at both break time and lunch time.

T3-Cookery-5

A hot meal is available to order at lunch time from Sue Brady Catering Ltd, aimed at providing a healthy well-balanced lunch. Hot meals can be ordered for a full term (Autumn - terms 1 & 2; Spring - terms 3 & 4; Summer - terms 5 & 6), or once a fortnight. Menus are changed for each season and are based on a 3 week rolling menu.

Alternatively, children can bring their own lunch box to school and rewards are given to children who demonstrate that the lunch they bring is made up of healthy food. We are a nut free school and your child must not bring anything to school that contains nuts.

Lunch time is from midday until 1.00pm and is eaten in the Hall, usually with the younger children eating first. When the children are not eating, they are out in the playground or on the school field if it is dry. The children are supervised at all times by our Midday Supervisory Assistants (MDSAs).

Universal free school meals are provided for children in Key Stage 1 (Classes R-2).

Ordering of Hot Meals

You can order and pay for your child’s school meals using Sue Brady's secure website.

If your child is ill (or otherwise unable to attend school) you must inform Sue Brady Catering Ltd by 9.00am on the day in order to be credited for the meal. Credits are processed on a termly basis and include a deduction of £1.00 per refund.

You can still order paying by cheque or cash if you so wish. Please complete the menu choices form and hand it into the school office by 9.00am on Thursday for the following week's lunches. Please remember to add your child's name and class on each day they require lunch and to tick the option required.

Cheques are accepted for payments of £7.50 and over - one cheque per family - made payable to Sue Brady Catering Ltd.
