Our OFSTED rated Outstanding school is situated in the village of Ramsbury, which is a medium sized village on the edge of the Marlborough Downs between Marlborough and Hungerford. We provide education for children between 4 and 11 years of age. We are at the core of the community we serve.
Children are nurtured here with great care and given many opportunities to flourish as they are central to all that we do. We want our children to remember their time with us for the richness of the experiences we provide and for the many personal achievements that we help to make possible. We are proud of our academic record but we are even more proud of our pupils’ personal development. The commitment, dedication and skill of our staff and the bright and lively learning environment that results from this are key to our pupils’ individual success.
We have a modern school with bright classrooms, well equipped hall, libraries, and Our Great New Space. Outside we have two very colourful playgrounds and a running circuit on our level field adjacent to the school, which is ideally suited for athletics and field sports. On the field we have a much loved ‘activity trail’ of climbing equipment and a fort, which have proved very popular indeed with all of the children. On the lower playground, we have an additional smaller fort.
We are also an English Hub, one of 34 in the country. We support teachers in other schools in Wiltshire, Swindon, Gloucestershire and also Dorset to improve their practice and ultimately influence the learning experiences of hundreds of children in the extended areas in which we work. Our current focus is phonics, early language and reading.
We hope that you find the information on our website helpful and informative, as well as our Guide for New Parents.
If you are unfamiliar with the school then we invite you to visit us to experience its ethos for yourself.
We look forward to welcoming you and your family to our delightful school.
