THE FIRST 3 DAYS BACK
Going back to school has been wonderful! I was so excited to go back into the classroom to see my friends and my teachers, and work in a school environment again.
My teachers have been brilliant at helping our class get back into the school routine gradually. Every day they introduce us to more complex lessons, and we have been doing a lot of PSHE which stands for Personal, Social and Health Education, which really helps us with our well-being.
School is a bit different now. Lunchtime and breaktime have been pretty different too with all the classes having their break and lunch separately and not at the same time. We also eat our lunch in our classrooms instead of in the lunch hall.
Ramsbury is concentrating extremely hard at maintaining bubbles and washing our hands a lot. We also don’t have whole school events at the moment. However, this week, every class will be watching the Ramsbury’s Got Talent finals in our class bubbles, with the help of Google Classroom. There are 15 acts in the finals and it is one of the highlights of every school year. Due to lockdown, it has been slightly different this year and all auditions were virtual so families could enjoy them at home. It was also extended with golden buzzers and semi-finals to give everyone at home something to be entertained by.
The highlight of my week so far has definitely been seeing my friends! It is fantastic to be able to see them in person now, after two months of not seeing them at all.
