Dear Parents of children in Class 6,
From 1st June, we welcome back to school children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6, as well as continuing to be open for the children of key workers and vulnerable children.
As previously explained by Miss Price, attendance at school will not be compulsory, but as your child’s teachers will be in school teaching the children who come in, we will be pausing Google Classroom for years R, 1 and 6, as it is not possible for the teachers to manage virtual and actual teaching. Google Classroom will remain open for you to access but class teachers will not be setting any new work. You could complete activities you have not completed so far or revisit key skills such as phonics, by watching the teachers’ clips.
There are two particularly extensive online teaching websites you may also wish to use:
- Oak National Academy https://www.thenational.academy/ which offers video lessons by primary teachers, quizzes and worksheets, providing new lessons and resources each week for years R-6.
- BBC Bitesize Daily is slightly less formal, but very child friendly and they provide lessons for Y1-6 https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/dailylessons
Timetable for w/c 06.07.20 ~ Class 6
