We are extremely proud to have been named one of only 32 schools in the country to be an English Hub.
Ramsbury Primary School has been selected for our expertise in teaching reading. We will take a leading role in supporting schools that struggle to teach children to read by promoting a love of reading and supporting schools to provide excellent phonics and early language teaching.
Literacy specialists within our hub will provide tailored support to schools. This may include:
- running events to showcase excellent practice in teaching reading
- working with local schools to develop their practice
English Hubs are some of the best performing primary schools in the country and will work to increase reading standards in schools and improve education outcomes for the most disadvantaged children, particularly in underperforming schools.
