Ramsbury Primary School kicked off the Coronation Celebrations on Friday; donning our best regalia for lots of Coronation fun and learning. Despite a very busy weekend ahead of Her, our very own Queen Camilla was ready to greet the children as they arrived for the Coronation themed day. After lots of flag waving at our Royal parade, we all headed off in our house teams for a day of Royal activities.
By the end of the day we had all made our own crowns and flags, ready to wear and wave on the big day itself. We also enjoyed making our very own collage stamps to remember the historical day. Class R even got to enjoy a game of tennis in all their finery!
Class 4 and 5, whilst away on their Residential, did not miss out on the celebrations either! After a fun packed couple of days at Braeside, they enjoyed a Coronation breakfast fit for a King (or Queen), whilst celebrating the upcoming Coronation with lots of Union Jack themed fun. In the afternoon they arrived home to a Royal welcome. Queen Camilla was back again to greet our tired but happy explorers back to school; just in time for the PTA’s Coronation Bake Off and cake sale.
Thank you to everyone who entered the PTA’s Coronation Bake Off. We were so impressed with all the entries and the creativity. Congratulations to Team Fletcher and Lara for being crowned our star bakers! A special thank you to Rachel from Marlborough Cake Kitchen for being our Bake Off judge. We hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and enjoyed the Coronation celebrations!
