At Ramsbury School, we take pride in our appearance.
Being smart shows we are ready to learn. Although wearing a school uniform in primary schools cannot be enforced, we strongly encourage it. The smartness of our children is often commented upon by visitors, and when we are out of school we are easily recognised. Children are rewarded for dressing smartly, such as tucking their t-shirts in, with a team point.
We recommend and encourage both boys and girls to wear the following:
- Baseball cap*
- Gingham check dress in the summer term
- Trousers, shorts or skirt
- Polo shirt* or shirt
(*Available with the school logo from the school office)
- Black shoes, black sandals or pure black trainers. If your child’s trainers have other colours on them, they can only be worn on PE days
To order a school logo sweatshirt, polo shirt, cardigan, skort, cap or book bag simply download and fill in the School Uniform Order Form and hand it in to the school office with full payment by cheque, cash or debit/credit card. Alternatively, please email the completed form to: email@example.com
The charity shop in Ramsbury also hold a small selection of second-hand school uniform.
We believe children should come to school in suitable clothes of smart appearance. Casual wear, like jeans, highly coloured shorts and cargo pants are not permitted.
No children should wear any jewellery, including friendship bracelets, but can wear watches. If your child has a Smart Watch, it can only be worn in school if it does not have a camera. Hair longer than shoulder length should be tied up.
It is essential that children are properly equipped for PE lessons by wearing the following:
Royal blue: jumper, cardigan or school sweatshirt
White: polo shirt or t-shirt
Royal blue: t-shirt
Black: Shorts, skort, tracksuit bottoms, running tights or running leggings
Footwear: Black or white trainers
