We had a very special visitor in Class 3 today, Barney the PAT Dog!
Pets As Therapy is a national charity, enhancing health and wellbeing in the community through the visits of trusted volunteers with their behaviourally assessed animals. We are very lucky to have Jayne, and her adorable Labrador Barney, visiting Ramsbury School every week to meet with the children and to listen to readers. Studies have shown this can improve literacy in children by developing their confidence, interest and enjoyment in reading through the read2dogs scheme.
