Class Teacher

Ramsbury Primary School, near Marlborough, is looking for a full-time class teacher. We are an English Hub, one of just 34 nationwide, selected for our expertise in teaching reading and supporting schools, and as such are able to provide truly exciting opportunities for career progression for the right candidate.

We are a very successful, Ofsted Outstanding, one-form entry school situated in a lovely, thriving and supportive village. We are easily accessible from Swindon (20-minute drive) or East Wiltshire. Visits are very welcomed and encouraged.

Required Knowledge and Personal attributes

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Degree 2:1 minimum
  • QTS or equivalent
  • A teacher with a track record of outstanding classroom practice, or potential to have, and of innovative curriculum development
  • Ability to maintain a positive school ethos with a focus on high achievement for all
  • An awareness and understanding of recent educational developments in teaching and learning, and leading and management
  • Experience of and commitment to implementing change, in a pro-active and positive manner
  • Understanding of current educational changes and the impact on teaching and learning 
  • Commitment to working as part of a team, encouraging others to develop their leadership skills and to deal sensitively with others
  • The ability to establish excellent and productive working relationships with a wide range of people including pupils, parents, colleagues, governors, secondary schools and the community
  • Ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing) with all stakeholders
  • Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development and high personal standards
  • Commitment to active parental involvement, to enhancing and supporting community/external agencies involvement in school
