Year Four

Welcome to Class 4!

Class 4’s teachers are Mrs Creed and Mrs Fry, and we are joined by Mrs Hinder and Mrs Weems as our Teaching Assistants.

This year our learning will be based around the central question, ‘When have we shown resilience and resourcefulness?’.

In the Autumn term, we travel to South America where we will learn how to survive in the Amazon Rainforest. We will complete an author study on the incredibly entertaining poet, Joseph Coelho. We will consider the questions, ‘When exploring, do we take responsibility for the places we venture into?’ and ‘Where can we find diversity?’.

In the Spring term, we will be learning all about Anglo-Saxon and Viking invasions, settlements and kingdoms. We will investigate the questions, ‘What can digging up the past teach us?’ and ‘Were the Vikings really vicious?’.

In the Summer term, our enquiry question is, ‘How have we adapted to challenging and difficult circumstances?’. We will become inventors, environmental stewards and activists!
