Orienteering Festival – Winners!!

Mrs Clarke took 3 teams, from Class 4 and Class 5, to the Orienteering Festival on Thursday 8th June.

Held at Marlborough College, the children had to work very hard in their teams to navigate in sequence between control points marked on a unique orienteering map and decide the best route to complete the course in the quickest time. The mixed teams of boys and girls showed off determined skills, both physical and mental, using their knowledge from subjects such as Maths, PE and Geography.

Their enthusiasm and skills did not let them down…they all participated with great sportsmanship and energy.

One Ramsbury team came away with the fastest time, resulting in 1st place of the entire competition, securing a place at the County Final ‘Summer Games’ at Dauntsey’s School, on 4th July.

This fantastic team joins our qualified Tri Golf team to County finals. Come on Ramsbury!
