QuadKids Festival – Winners!!

Our very talented PE teacher, Mrs Clarke is on a roll!

On Thursday, 15th June Mrs Clarke took 2 teams from Year 5/6 to the Marlborough Schools’ QuadKids Festival, held at Marlborough College.

The children took part in a fun team competition combining the athletic events of a sprint, a long distance run, a standing long jump and vortex throw. The Ramsbury teams displayed speed, endurance and power,  developing team work and leadership skills – in very warm conditions!

Their hard work paid off, with a Ramsbury team securing FIRST place in their category, beating hot competition from the other Marlborough cluster schools. This means they have secured another Golden Ticket to the Summer Games’ County Final on 4th July at Dauntsey’s School! They join the winning Y4/5 Orienteering Team and the winning Y4/5 Tri Golf Team!

This is Mrs Clarke’s first year at Ramsbury School, after joining us in September 2022. What a way to finish the academic year! A huge well done to her and to all the children who took part.

Mrs Clarke talks tactics after the QuadKids festival;

“All Ramsbury athletes worked really hard for one another, and that was their motivation. I said to them to really push hard on the track, to give us a lead, as we still had work to do in the field events. They listened and surpassed expectations. I am immensely proud of all 20 athletes”.
